STEP 1: TURN THE ENGINE
SWITCH ‘ON’
Turn the engine swtich to the ‘ON’ position.
STEP 2: PRIME THE CARBURETOR
Prime the fuel system by repeatedly pressing
the fuel primer bulb at least 10 times.
STEP 3: FOR COLD ENGINE STARTS
For cold engine starts, make sure the engine
choke lever is closed (UP position) and for warm
starts the choke lever should be open (DOWN
position).
STARTING THE MACHINE
IMPORTANT!
For maximum vacuum performance and operating life, allow the engine to warm before use.
STEP 4: PULL THE STARTER
Place the machine on the ground, and hold the
handle rmly with your right hand. Pull the starter
cord slowly until you feel the resistance. Start
the machine by pulling the starter cord upward
rapidly. If necessary, repeat this step two or
three times until the engine starts.
STEP 5: RUN THE ENGINE
Run the engine at idle speed until operating
temperature is reached (2 to 3 minutes). As the
engine warms up, open the choke gradually
by slowly pushing the choke down to a ‘RUN’
position. The machine will now be ready for use.
