2. Safety information
Warning! When using this compressor, the following basic safety measures must be observed to protect
against electric shock, the risk of injury and fire.
PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE COMPRESSOR.
1. Keep your workspace tidy.
Clutter or insufficiently well lit work areas may lead to accidents.
2. Consider any influence the surrounding environment may have on the operation of the unit.
Do not expose the compressor to rain.
Do not use the compressor in a damp or wet environment. The intake of water into the compressor increases the risk of electric shock.
Ensure that your work area is adequately lit.
Do not use the compressor in locations where there is a risk of fire or an explosion. Fireplaces, open lights or sparking machines must not be present or
operated.
3. Protect yourself against electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed parts (e.g. pipes, heaters, cookers, refrigerators).
A residual current circuit breaker (RCD) has been designed to serve as protection against fatal electric shocks.
Do not use plug adapters.
4. Keep other people away from the unit.
Do not allow other persons, especially children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, touch the compressor or the cable. Keep such
persons, and pets, clear of your work area.
5. Store your compressor in a safe place.
When the compressor is not in use, it should be stored in a dry, dust-free and locked room, out of the reach of children.
6. Do not overload your compressor.
It is better and safer for you to work within the specified performance range.
7. Wear suitable work clothes.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing or jewellery can be caught by moving parts.
We recommend wearing non-slip footwear.
If you have long hair, it is recommended to wear a hair net.
8. Wear personal protective equipment.
ALWAYS wear safety glasses and hearing protection.
Use a respiratory mask when carrying out work that generates dust. The compressor exhaust air may contain water, oil, metal particles and impurities from
the compressor.
9. Do not misuse the cable.
Do not use the cable to pull the plug out of the socket. Do not pull the compressor by its cable. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
