Lastly, ensure the igniter plug contacts the top of the wick by lowering the wick using the adjuster knob.

Carbon or tar buildup on the wick can also cause this issue; perform the "Carbon Removal / Dry Burning" procedure, and replace the wick if needed. Finally, contaminated kerosene could be the culprit; drain the tank, replace the wick assembly, and refill with 1-K kerosene.
