GROUNDALLMETALELECTRICALEQUIPMENT
 AgreencoloredterminaloraterminalmarkedG,GR,Ground,orGrounding,islocatedinsidethesupplyterminalboxor
compartment.Thisterminalmustbeconnectedtothegroundingmeansprovidedintheelectricsupplyservicepanel,usinga
connuouscopperwireequivalentinsizetothecircuit
conductorssupplyingthisequipment.*accordingto,butnotlimitedto:NEC,
NFPA70,Secon680.40,UL1563.
 Atleasttwolugsmarked“BondingLugs”areprovidedontheexternalsurfaceorontheinsideofthesupplyterminalboxor
compartment.Connectthelocalcommonbondinggrid(householdground)intheareaoftheswimspatotheseterminals,using
aninsulatedorbarecopperconductornot
smallerthanNo.6AWG.
 Allfield‐installedmetalcomponentssuchasrails,ladders,drainsorsimilarhardwarelocatedwithin5feetoftheswimspaorhot
tubmustbebondedtotheequipmentgroundingbuswithcopperconductorsnotsmallerthanNo.6AWG.
 Allmetalsurfaceswithin5feetoftheswimspamustbebondedtothehomebondinggrid.
GROUNDFAULTCIRCUITINTERRUPT ERPROTECTION(orequivalent;RCD,forexportinstalls)
 AllPDCSpasswimspasarepermanentlyinstalledunits.GROUNDFAULTCIRCUITINTERRUPTERPROTECTIONISREQUIRED.All
swimspaequipmentsystemsmustbeprotectedbyaclassAgroundfaultcircuitinterrupter(GFCI)orequivalent;RCD,forexport
installs.Agroundfaultcircuitinterruptertypecircuitbreaker(NOTSUPPLIED)mustbeinstalledinthehomepanelboxbya
licensedelectricianwhenmakingwireconnecontothe
swimspasupportpackequipment.
DANGER:RISKOFELECTRICALSHOCK:
 Installtheswimspaatleastfivefeet(1.52m)fromallungrounded(unbounded)metalsurfaces.
 Groundfaultcircuitinterrupterproteconofthehomepowersupplytotheswimspaisnecessary.Yourelectricianshouldexplain
howitoperates.(Seeswimspamaintenanceforfunconandtesng)
 Donotpermitanyelectricappliance,suchasalight,telephone,radioortelevision,withinfivefeet(1.52m)ofaswimspa.Keep
electricalappliancesandextensioncordsawayfromtheswimspa.Waterisaconductorofelectricity.


 Extremecauonmustbeexercisedtopreventunauthorizedaccessbychildren.Toavoidaccidents,ensurethatchildrencannot
useaswimspaunlesstheyaresupervisedatallmes.

1.Neverusetheswimspaalone.
2.Childrenshouldnotusetheswimspaunlesstheyaresupervisedbyanadult
