Prolongedimmersionintheswimspamaycausehyperthermia.Thecauses,symptomsandeffectsofhyperthermiamaybe
describedasfollows:Hyperthermiaoccurswhentheinternaltemperatureofthebodyreachesalevelseveraldegreesabovethe
normalbodytemperatureof98.6°F(37°C).Thesymptomsofhyperthermiainclude
anincreaseintheinternaltemperatureofthe
body,dizziness,lethargy,drowsiness,andfainng.Theeffectsofhyperthermiainclude:
1.Failuretoperceiveheat
2.Failuretorecognizetheneedtoexittheswimspa
3.Unawarenessofimpendinghazard
4.Fetaldamageinpregnantwomen
5.Physicalinabilitytoexittheswimspa
6.Unconsciousnessresulnginthedangerofdrowning

Donotremovethesuconfings.Thesuconfinginthisswimspaissizedtomatchthespecificwaterflowcreatedbythe
pump.Shouldtheneedarisetoreplacethesuconfingorthepump,besurethattheflow
ratesarecompable.Neveroperate
theswimspaifthesuconfingisbrokenormissing.Neverreplaceasuconfingwithoneratedlessthantheflowrate
markedontheoriginalsuconfing.

Keephairandbodypartsawayfromthesuconguard.Donotallowlonghairtofloatfreelyinthewater;longhairshouldbe
restrainedwithabathingcap.Toreducetheriskofdrowningfromhairorbodyentrapment,installasuconfing(s)with
a
markedflowrateingallonsperminutethatequalsorexceedstheflowratemarkedontheequipmentassembly,ifreplacement
ofsuconfingsbecomesnecessary.
WARNING
Groundfaultcircuitinterrupterprotecon(GFCI)orequivelant;RCD,fortheswimspashouldbetestedpriortoeachusebythe
homeowner.Withtheswimspainoperaon,pushthe“test”buonontheGFCIcircuitbreakeratthepanelbox.Theswimspa
shouldshut
downimmediately.NowresettheGFCI.Theswimspashouldreturntonormaloperaon.IftheGFCIfailstooperate
inthismanner,thereexistsapossibilityofelectricalshock.Approvedtesngappliesforexportprotecondevices,i.e.RCD.
Disconnueswimspaoperaonbydisconnecngthepowersourceandnofyaqualifiedelectricianforidenficaonand
correconoftheproblem.

Toreducetheriskofinjury,donotpermitchildrentousethisproductunlesstheyarecloselysupervisedatallmes.

Thewaterinaswimspashouldneverexceed104ºF(40°C).Watertemperaturesbetween100°F(38ºC)and104ºF(40°C)are
consideredsafeforahealthyadult.Lowerwatertemperaturesarerecommendedforextendeduse(exceeding10to15minutes)
andforyoungchildren.Never
exerciseorswiminwaterabove90°F(32°c).
Excessivewatertemperatureshaveahighpotenalforcausingfetaldamageduringtheearlymonthsofpregnancy.Pregnantor
possiblypregnantwomenshouldlimitswimspatemperaturesto100ºF(38°C).
Beforeenteringaswimspa,theusershouldmeasurethewatertemperaturewithanaccuratethermometersincethetoleranceof
watertemperatureregulangdevicesmayvaryasmuchas5ºF(3°C).
THEUSEOFALCOHOL,DRUGS,ORMEDICATIONBEFOREORDURINGSWIMSPAUSEMAYLEADTO
UNCONSCIOUSNESSWITHTHEPOSSIBILITYOFDROWNING.
Personssufferingfromobesityorwithamedicalhistoryofheartdisease,loworhighbloodpressure,circulaorysystem
problems,ordiabetesshouldconsultaphysicianbeforeusingaswimspa.
Alwaysconsultwithaphysicianpriortobeginninganyexerciseregimen.Donotoverexertyourself.Takefrequentbreaks.
