Safety instructions
This device complies with EU regulations 2014/30/EU
(electromagnetic compatibility) and 2014/35/EU (low voltage) as
defined in the supplement 2014/32/EU (CE mark). Overvoltage
category III 300V; Degree of pollution 2.
CAT I: signal level, telecommunications, electronic devices with
low transient overvoltages
CAT II: For home appliances, power outlets, portable instruments,
etc.
CAT III: supply through an underground cable; Permanently
installed switches, circuit breakers, sockets or contactors
CAT IV: Devices and devices which are e.g. are supplied via
overhead lines and thus exposed to a stronger lightning
effect. These include e.g. Main switch at the current input,
surge arrester, electricity meter and ripple control receiver.
WARNING! Read these operating instructions before use and keep
them in a known place. Always pass these operating instructions
together with the measuring device to other users.
This device was developed for measurements on voltage-free lines
and must not be used in high-energy circuits. It is suitable for
measurements in systems of overvoltage category III and has a
protection against short-term faulty operation when connecting a
mains voltage of approx. 220V. Nevertheless, do not connect the
generator to circuits with an operating voltage higher than 24 V AC.
For safety of operation of the device and to avoid serious injuries due
to current or voltage flashovers or short circuits, the following safety
instructions for operating the device must be observed.
