Remove cover from the drive

Connect Pentek communication hub to the drive

Shut off the power to the
drive. [Wait 5 minutes to allow
capacitors to de-energize.]
Separate cover and back plate.
Verify there is a gap
between cover and back
plate.
Pull out bottom of cover
and remove.
Locate the P and N terminals in the I/O Connection area.
Install the cord grip in the
bottom of the drive. Remove a
knock out if necessary. Pass the
cable through the cord grip.
Download the Pentair Home App to your mobile device from Apple
App Store® or Google Play®.
Open the App.
1. Existing users: Login to your account, click DEVICES and then
ADD NEW DEVICE.
2. New users: Scroll down in the app and click SIGN UP AS A
CUSTOMER.
Follow prompts to enter device and system information. Complete
online device registration.
The VFD-LINK unique device ID code is required for this step and it
can be found on this page or on the cover of the device.
Connect the Red wire
to the P terminal and
the Black wire to the
N terminal.

interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur
in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try
to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving
antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into
an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an
experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Plug in and hook up the gateway

Hook up the Cat5e cable between the gateway and
router
Plug the adapter into
the gateway and a
standard outlet.

Replace the drive cover and restore power to the drive

Hook the cover onto the backplate,
lower it into place, and then push
the cover back to close the gap.
Plug the adapter into a
standard outlet.

Plug the adapter into the
Pentek communication hub.

When the LED on the
communication hub turns
solid green, installation is
complete.
