The filter is mounted into the screw thread in front of the lens.
Precaution on filters
• Attaching the filter to your lens becomes a part of the optic. Avoid using more than one fil-
ter at a time, with the exception of a polarizing filter, as deterioration in image quality may
results.
• Use a circular polarizing filter with Autofocus camera for proper exposure and
autofocusing.
Precautions for using the exclusive lens hood
• When using the PENTAX circular polarizing filter, which has a knurl ring on the back, with
the DA16-45 mm f/4ED AL lens, the exclusive lens hood cannot be attached.
• The exclusive lens hood also may not be possible to attach with some non-PENTAX
circular polarizing filters.
