Calibration
Calibration is the operation to get the
electronic com
pa
ss to work accurately.
Always perform this before using the GPS
unit.
As the Earth's magnetic field varies
depending on the shooting location, precise
calibration must also be performed at each
location when shooting images
of
astronomical objects with the
ASTROTRACER function,

Attach
the
GPS
unit
to
the
camera,
and
then
turn
on
both
the
GPS
unit
and the
camera.

Select
[Calibration]
from
[GPS]
in
the
[01 Rec, Mode]
menu
on
the
camera,
l Move
the
camera
and
perform
the
calibration.
Hold the camera firmly and rotate the
camera
180
degrees or more in each
of
three directions as shown on the right.
