Taking Still Pictures
The procedure for setting the focus manually is described below.
1 Press the ) button in Capture mode to display z.
The central portion of the screen is magnified twice as large when
focusing.
2 Press the four-way controller (23).
The indicator appears on the LCD monitor. Using the indicator as a
guide, adjust the focus with the four-way controller (23).
For distant focus
For closer focus
After the focus is set, press any button except the four-way controller
(23) or take your finger off the four-way controller (23). The screen
returns to the normal display about two seconds later.
Manual Focus
• When focusing, hold down the four-way controller (23) to focus
quickly.
• You cannot adjust the shutter speed or aperture when a, b or c
is selected in \ mode.
