Press down on the batteries
with the battery cover ( ) and
slide it as shown in the
illustration ( ) to close.
You can use four kinds of batteries with your camera. Battery performance
differs by type. Please choose the type that best suits your purpose.
• Use the AC adapter (optional) when using the camera for a prolonged period.

• Check the battery orientation if the camera does not operate properly after
replacing the batteries.
Batteries
CR-V3
The provided CR-V3 is a long-life battery and is convenient
when traveling.
AA Ni-MH
rechargeable
batteries
These are rechargeable and are economical.
AA lithium batteries Recommended in cold climates.
AA alkaline batteries
Recommended only for emergencies such as when your
usual batteries run out. These are readily available but
may not support all the camera functions under certain
conditions.
