Electric power supply is discon-
nected.
Check the unit is plugged in properly. Make sure that
the power input filter on the back of the device
matches the voltage range delivered by your local
mains supply.
Faulty fuse Replace fuse.
The fan does not
work
Faulty cooling system Turn off the system and contact TECHNICAL SUPPORT

The cap is not screwed properly. Lock the tubes properly. Clean and/or disinfect the
system as described in 'CLEANING AND DECON-
TAMINATION'.
Sample material or beads sitting
between cap and tube prevent tight
closing.
Occurs eventually using very small beads (e.g. VK01).
Pay attention that there is no sample material or beads
located at appropriate sites of the cap or tube (option-
ally tubes can be briefly centrifuged).
Tubes are disrupted by the kinetic
energy of the beads.
Use exclusively high-quality screw cap tubes e.g. the
Precellys lysis kits of PEQLAB. By using the larger
beads (e. g. CK28 or MK28) the sample volume
should be at minimum 500 μl (see also 'General user
tips')!
One or several
tubes are not tight
Tubes are disrupted by gas pres-
sure.
The maximum sample volume of 1.4 ml in the 2 ml
tubes and 5 ml in the 7 ml tubes should not be ex-
ceeded in order to guarantee sufficient compressible
volume for a potential heat expansion in the tube.
Power failure, pull-
ing the main plug
during the run.
For safety purposes the vacuum
between indented plate and sam-
ple holder is held.
Make sure the electrical power supply is working and
turn the system back on. The vacuum is relieved then
and the indented plate can be removed.
