What to do if my Perfect Aire 5PAC10000 Air Conditioner unit will not turn on?
    • D
      Daniel JohnsonAug 18, 2025
If your unit isn't turning on, first reset the circuit breaker. Then, check the plug connection to ensure it's secure. If the outlet is controlled by a switch, make sure the switch is in the 'on' position. Try plugging the unit into a different outlet to rule out outlet issues. Finally, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes and follow the reset instructions on the plug.

      Darrell MitchellAug 28, 2025

Why is my Perfect Aire 5PAC10000 cooling, but the room is too warm, and ice is forming on the cooling coil?
    • A
      Andrew MolinaAug 31, 2025
Ice forming on the cooling coil can happen if the outdoor temperature is below 64ºF (18ºC). In this case, set the unit to FAN only mode to defrost the coil. Also, a dirty air filter can cause this issue, so clean the filter. Refer to the Care and Cleaning section for instructions. Additionally, the thermostat might be set too cold for nighttime cooling; if so, set the unit to FAN only mode to defrost the coil and then increase the temperature setting.

      Julie RossNov 14, 2025
Several factors can cause this issue. Ensure the unit's size is appropriate for the room and that all doors, windows, and openings are sealed. Check that the front grille isn't obstructed by curtains or other items. Allow sufficient time for the room to cool, especially in high outside temperatures. Verify the filter is clean, the louvers are fully open and directed correctly, and the unit is in COOL mode with a suitably low (but not too low) temperature setting. If near a heat source, relocate the unit. If the air from the unit feels cool, double-check the points above. If using the Follow Me remote feature, move the remote away from the unit. Check if the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil and carefully straighten the tube away from the coil if needed. As ...
