• Torque drain plug (2) to a torque of 4 N·m
(35.4 lb in)
• Torque drain plug (3) to a torque of 4 N·m

• Torque drain plug (4) to a torque of 6 N·m

Flush
1. Flush the cooling system with distilled or deionized
water to remove any debris.
2. Install the connection hose. Clean the drain plugs
and install the drain plugs. Tighten the drain plugs
securely.
NOTICE
Do not fill the cooling system faster than 5 L
(1.3 US gal) per minute to avoid air locks.
Cooling system air locks may result in engine
damage.
3. Fill the cooling system with distilled or deionized
water. Install the cooling system filler cap.
4. Start and run the engine at low idle until the
temperature reaches 49 to 66 °C (120 to 150 °F).
