  If the receiver collar is beeping, but your pet isn't responding to the static correction, ensure the static correction level is set to 2, 3, 4, or 5. Test the receiver collar with the test light while walking toward the boundary wire. If the test light flashes, check the fit of the receiver collar. You might need to trim your pet’s fur where the contact points touch the neck or purchase longer contact points. Also, try increasing the static correction level and repeating the training steps to reinforce the training.

  If the receiver collar has to be held on top of the boundary wire to activate, try replacing the battery. You can also adjust the boundary width control knob clockwise to increase the distance from the boundary wire that the receiver collar activates. Consider adjusting the boundary control switch to another setting. If you are using a double loop, ensure the boundary wires are separated by 3 to 5 feet.

  If the receiver collar is not beeping or correcting, check the battery to make sure it is installed properly. Also, check that both lights are lit on the fence transmitter.
