From time to time remove the needle plate and clean the vicinity of the feed dog, removing the
lint that has accumulated there with a soft brush. To remove the needle plate, take out the knurled
screw shown in the illustration above, drop the feed dog and lift, swing out and remove the needle
plate. Packed lint which has accumulated between the tooth rows of the feed dog is removed with a
toothpick.
To clean the vicinity of the sewing hook, tilt the sewing head back and take out the bobbin case
with the bobbin.
