size
for

given

Lightweight
fabrics

punctures.
When
thick
thread
is
used
in
a
thin
needle,
the
thread
is
likely
to
break,
while
thin
thread
used
in
a
thick
needle
is
likely
to
cause
skipping
of
stitches.

merely
intended
as
a
guide
for
selecting
the
correct
needle
size.
