Installation Process Overview:

The installation process is broken down into several steps:

  1. Turn Off Water Supply: Crucial first step to prevent flooding. Involves locating and shutting off main water supply valves, typically near the water meter.
  2. Prepare for Installation: Involves inspecting the work area to ensure adequate clearance and proper wall thickness for the plasterguard.
  3. Install Retainer and Stem: Involves securing the retainer and stem components to the valve body.
  4. Install Flange and Handle: Attaching the decorative flange and the control handle. The handle must be hand-tightened and positioned in the vertical "off" position.
  5. Connect Shower Arm & Spout: Installing the shower arm, showerhead, and tub spout. This step includes options for threaded iron pipe or copper pipe connections for the tub spout.
  6. Turn On Water & Flush: Re-establishing water supply, checking for leaks, and flushing the system to ensure proper operation and clear any debris.

Safety Information:

The guide includes a prominent "WARNING/ADVERTENCIA/AVERTISSEMENT" section emphasizing the importance of reading all instructions, wearing safety goggles, and ensuring installation complies with all codes. It also advises calling a professional if uncertain about any installation step. The warning specifically highlights the product's exclusive compatibility with the Pfister™ OX8 Series Pressure Balancing Valve to prevent improper installation and potential issues.
