Sweep Speed
The Sweep Speed setting determines the speed at which the SpO
2
waveform is drawn
across the screen. Decreasing the sweep speed compresses the wave, allowing you to
view a longer time period. Increasing the sweep speed expands the wave, giving you a
more detailed view. The default sweep speed is 25.0 mm per second.
Notes:
The pleth waveform is normalized to the display area in the pane. The height of the
waveform has no relationship to the actual optical signal strength.
The waveform is displayed by default in Spot Check monitoring mode. To display the
waveform in Interval or Continuous monitoring mode, touch the Waveform icon in
the upper right of the SpO2
numeric pane.
To change the waveform sweep speed
1 Touch the SpO2 numeric pane.
The SpO2 menu appears, displaying the current settings.
2 Touch the Sweep Speed menu and select one of the following:
- 12.5 mm/s
- 25.0 mm/s
- 50.0 mm/s
3 Touch Done.
