Recalculating the NBP Value if the Limb Is Not at Heart Level
Clearing All NBP Interval Programs
Use the Clear Programs button to clear all saved NBP interval programs. All program
settings are cleared and the program names return to their default values.
Your system administrator can enable NBP Program Protection to prevent you from
clearing programs without entering a password.
To clear all NBP interval programs
1 Open the Interval Settings menu or the Continuous Settings menu.
2 Touch the Clear Programs button.
Note
If your system administrator has enabled NBP Program Protection. an Enter
Password dialog box opens. If you are authorized to clear programs, and have the
password, enter it in the password window that opens, then touch OK. If you do not
have the password, you cannot clear programs and you must touch Cancel.
3 Touch OK.
The names, durations, and intervals are cleared in all NBP interval programs.
4 Touch Done to return to the main screen.
Recalculating the NBP Value if the Limb Is Not at Heart Level
If the limb is not at heart level while an NBP measurement is in progress, use the
following table to recalculate the displayed values, then manually enter the recalculated
values in the NBP menu.
Note
You can manually enter NBP measurement values only in Spot Check monitoring mode.
If the limb is Then
Higher than heart level For each centimeter higher, add 0.75 mmHg (0.10 kPa)
...or...
For each inch higher, add 1.9 mmHg (0.25 kPa)
Lower than heart level For each centimeter lower, deduct 0.75 mmHg (0.10 kPa)
...or...
For each inch lower, deduct 1.9 mmHg (0.25 kPa)
