Taking Automatic NBP Measurements Using NBP Intervals
6-18 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
To select a preconfigured NBP interval program
Caution
To prevent your NBP interval program settings from being disabled, it is critical that you admit your
patient before setting an NBP interval program. When you admit a new patient, any previously
configured NBP auto interval or interval program is canceled. Therefore, if you admit a patient after
setting the interval program, automatic NBP measurements will not be taken unless you set the
interval program again.
1 Open the Interval Settings menu or the Continuous Settings menu.
2 Touch the NBP Interval Program menu and select the program you want to use.
The NBP Interval Program menu opens.
3 If you want to change any of the settings, use the previous procedure.
4 When you are done selecting a program and/or changing program settings, touch OK.
You are returned to the settings menu. You can either start measurements right away,
or delay the start of measurements.
To immediately start NBP Interval Program measurements
1 After completing the steps in one of the two previous procedures, touch the Start
Interval button.
The menu closes and you are returned to the main screen, where the first interval
measurement is in progress. In the NBP numeric pane, the Interval icon appears in
the upper right, along with the program name and the interval value. For example, if
you selected Program 2 and that program has a 10 minute interval, the phrase
Program 2 and the numeral 10 appear next to the Interval icon.
To start an NBP Interval Program after a delay
1 After completing the steps in one of the first two procedures above, touch Done.
The program start is delayed. The menu closes and you are returned to the main
screen. The Interval icon in the upper right of the NBP numeric pane blinks to
indicate that the interval measurements have not been started.
2 When you want to start the interval measurements, do either of the following:
- Touch the Start NBP or Start QuickNBP button below the NBP numeric pane.
If your system administrator has enabled QuickNBP, and you start interval
measurements by touching the Start QuickNBP button, the first NBP interval
measurement is a QuickNBP. However, all subsequent interval measurements are
standard NPBs.
- Touch the Set Interval button below the NBP numeric pane to open the settings
menu, then touch the Start Interval button.
The menu closes and you are returned to the main screen, where the first interval
measurement is in progress.
