and IPI default alarm limits are:
Setting the Humidity Correction
The Humidity Correction setting corrects the measured etCO
2
value to account for
humidity in a patient’s breath. Two options are available:
BTPS — Body Temperature Pressure Saturated
STPD — Standard Temperature Pressure Dry
Note
Use BTPS in most situations. The etCO
2
readings in BTPS mode are about 6% to 12%
lower than the readings in STPD mode.
To change the humidity correction value
1 Touch the CO2 numeric pane.
The CO2 menu appears, displaying the current settings on the General tab.
2 Touch the Advanced tab to open it.
3 Touch the Humidity Correction menu and select one of the following:
- BTPS
- STPD
4 Touch Done.
