2-22 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
Date/Time
pane
Displays the current date and time of day. Opens the Date/Time
menu, where you can reset the date and time.
Note: Your system administrator can prevent access to the menu, but the
Date and Time pane is always displayed.
Theme icon
Toggles the main screen display between a dark theme (black
background) and a light theme (light gray background).
Notifications
icon
Opens the Notifications window, where you can view and
acknowledge notifications.
This icon flashes when new notifications arrive. A number in a red
circle within the icon indicates the number of new notifications that
have not been acknowledged.
Network icons
If either of the network icons is present, indicates that the monitor is
connected to a network via LAN (wired) or WLAN (wireless). If neither
icon is present, the monitor is not connected to a network.
If the monitor is connected by both LAN and WLAN, only the wired
LAN icon is shown.
If the monitor is connected only to a wireless network, only the
wireless icon is shown. The number of bars that are not dimmed in
the icon indicates signal strength.

Battery status
icon
Indicates the current charge status of the installed battery. See
“Battery Status Icon” on page 2-9 for details.
Opens the Battery Info screen, where you can view information such
as the battery name, cycle count, serial number, voltage, and
capacity.
Task light icon
Turns on and off a task light under the front edge of the monitor to
illuminate the work area under the monitor.
Print icon
Prints patient records and waveforms, depending on current context.
See Chapter 13, “Printing,” for details.
This icon is present only if your monitor includes the optional print
recorder.
Function
button
Depending on context and monitoring mode, this is a Save or Save
Now button.
