EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use 2-27
Networked Monitors
Synchronizing the Date and Time
Your system administrator can configure the VS30 monitor to automatically synchronize
the clock on the monitor to the clock on the EMR server, HL7 interface server or an SNTP
time server.
If the clock on the monitor differs by more than 5 seconds from the clock on the server,
the monitor will immediately adjust the date and time, unless:
An NBP or temperature measurement is in progress; the time change will occur when
the measurement is complete.
A patient record is being printed; the time change will occur after printing is complete.
If the time difference is greater than 30 seconds, the following occurs:
The Notifications icon flashes in the toolbar. When you touch the icon, the message
Date/Time Adjusted appears in the Notifications window. Touch Acknowledge All
to acknowledge the message. Once acknowledged, the notification is cleared from
the Notifications window.
•In Interval or Continuous monitoring mode, the monitor starts a new NBP
measurement.
Responding to Requests from the Philips Device Management Dashboard
The Philips Device Management Dashboard is an optional service tool for biomedical
engineers to quickly view the status of your monitor, upgrade the monitor software, and
update configuration settings from a remote server. If the monitor is connected to a
Philips Device Management Dashboard server, the monitor can receive requests to
update configuration settings or upgrade the monitor software over the network.
If there is an active request from the Philips Device Management Dashboard, the
Notifications icon flashes on the main screen toolbar. Touch the Notifications icon to
view the notifications. Depending on the type of request, the following messages may
appear in the Notifications window:
Configuration Update Requested — The Philips Device Management Dashboard
server requests to import configuration settings on the monitor.
Software Upgrade Requested The Philips Device Management Dashboard server
requests to upgrade the monitor software.
Touch Acknowledge All to indicate that you have seen the request, then close the
Notifications window. You can continue monitoring. However, the next time you press
the On/Standby button to enter Standby mode, you will be prompted to accept or reject
the acknowledged Dashboard request.
Considerations
Before responding to a request from the Philips Device Management Dashboard server,
note the following:
No auditory alarm is associated with the request message. The only indication is the
flashing Notifications icon.
Depending on the Philips Device Management Dashboard configuration at your
facility, you may be required to enter a password in order to respond to a request.
Follow the protocol established in your facility to enter the required password.
