2-28 EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use
If your facility does not require you to enter a password to respond to a request, the
update or upgrade proceeds automatically after you accept it.
You can accept or reject the request when prompted.
- If you accept the request by touching OK, the monitor proceeds with the update
or upgrade, then clears the request from the Notifications window.
- If you reject the request by touching Cancel, the request is cleared from the
Notifications window, enabling you to either enter Standby mode or continue
monitoring. The request reappears the next time you press the On/Standby
button. You can reject it again if necessary. For example, if the request appears
when you try to enter Standby mode, and you reject it, it will reappear when you
exit Standby mode. If you need to delay the update or upgrade in order to
continue monitoring, you can reject it again.
Ensure that the monitor is connected to AC power throughout the configuration
update or software upgrade.
Software updates and upgrades must be performed only by trained personnel.
WARNING
Before you accept a request from the Philips Device Management Dashboard server:
Make sure that the monitor is not actively monitoring a patient.
Make sure that the monitor is connected to AC power and has a fully charged battery.
To respond to a Philips Device Management Dashboard request for a configuration
update or software upgrade
1 When the Notifications icon in the toolbar flashes, touch the icon.
2 In the Notifications window, touch Acknowledge All.
The request is acknowledged, but remains active. You can continue monitoring for as
long as necessary. The update or upgrade is delayed until you press the On/Standby
button to enter Standby mode.
3 After pressing the On/Standby button, respond to the request prompt as follows:
- If you are not prompted for a password, touch OK to start the update or upgrade
process.
- If you are prompted for a password, enter it, then touch OK. Touch OK to start the
update or upgrade process.
Note
If you touch Cancel, the request remains active. Press the On/Standby button to
restart the monitor. The request message reappears in the message area.
After the update or upgrade starts, the Software Upgrade window opens
automatically and displays status messages.
