EarlyVue VS30 Instructions for Use 3-7
Managing Patient Information
Pending Records Tab
Depending on your configuration, the Pending Records tab lists:
• Records for patients for whom a primary ID has not been assigned. The primary ID for
these patients is displayed as Unknown.
• Records for patients with assigned primary IDs whose records require validation. If
your system administrator has enabled a QuickCheck workflow that requires
validation before you can send records to an EMR system, the Pending Records tab
lists all patient records that have not yet been validated. If multiple records have
been saved for a patient, each record is displayed as a separate entry.
If there are currently one or more pending records, a red circle is displayed next to the
Records button in the toolbar. A number inside the circle indicates the current number of
pending records. If the number is greater than 99, the circle displays two plus signs (++).
To open the Pending Records tab
1 Touch the Records button on the toolbar.
The Records menu opens. If there are currently one or more pending records, the
Pending Records tab is displayed by default.
2 If the Records menu defaults to the Patient Records tab, touch the Pending Records
tab to open it.
You can touch an entry in the Pending Records tab to expand it. The expanded view
includes all available vital signs, as well as early warning scores and observations and
assessments.
In the expanded view, you can:
• Touch the left and right arrows to view additional information.
• Touch Edit to edit patient information for the record. See “Editing Patient
Information” on page 3-35.
Note
If you edit the primary ID and save the change, the record moves from the Pending
Records tab to the Patient Records tab.
• Touch EWS to view detailed Early Warning Score information. This button is available
only if QuickAlerts EWS is enabled, See Chapter 12, “Early Warning Scoring and
QuickCheck Workflows.”
• Touch Delete to delete the record. See “Deleting Records” on page 3-37.
• Touch Validate to validate the record and send it to the EMR system. See “Validating
Patient Records before Export” on page 3-38.
• Touch the up arrow at lower right to collapse the view.
In the expanded view, a question mark (-?-) in the record indicates an invalid
measurement and a dash (-) indicates that a parameter was not measured.
