SHORT
DESCRIPTION
The
Hitachi
sub-CPU
(Q691)
communicates
with
the
MAIN
CPU
(QU01)
of
the
FR980
via
the
SPi
bus.
Modes
and
user
settings
are
received
;
status
is
reported
back.
The
Q691
is
connected
to
the
DSP56002
(Q601)
via
its
parallel
host
interface
and
to
the
DSP56009
(Q631)
via
the
serial
host
interface
(configured
as
12C
slave.)
The
Q691
downloads
the
DSP
code
of
the
56002
via
the
parallel!
host
interface,
and
the
code
for
the
56009
via
the
12C
interface.
DSP
code
is
stored
in
the
internal
ROM
of
the
Q691.
The
Q691
will
set
the
modes
and
parameters
of
the
DSP
programs
and
will
monitor
the
status
of
the
DSP
programs.
The
Q691
directly
controls
the
audio
components
which
are
DIR
(QRO2),
ADC
(QK01),
DAC
(QD01,
QD31,
QD51)
and
other
devices.
