      If your Philips Stereo System displays 'NO DISC', it could be due to several reasons: the disc might be inserted upside down (place it with the printed side up); there might be moisture condensation on the lens (wait until it adjusts to room temperature); there might be no disc in the tray (insert a CD); or the CD could be dirty, scratched, or warped (clean or replace it). If the CD lens is dirty or dusty, see section under Maintenance (page 25).

      The 'DISC NOT FINALIZED' message on your Philips Stereo System typically means the CD-RW or CD-R disc wasn't properly recorded for standard CD player use.
