Functional Overview
Basic function
IMPORTANT!
Before you operate the system, complete
the preparation procedures.
Switching the system on
Press STANDBY ON 2 on the system
Press STANDBY ON,DISC, USB, TUNER
or TAPE/AUX on the remote control.
The system will switch to the selected source.
To switch the system to Eco-power
standby mode
In power-on mode, press briefly STANDBY
-
ON B (STANDBY-ON B on the remote).
Eco-power lamp B on the front panel will
light up.
The VFD display will go blank.
Switching the system to Standby mode
Press and hold STANDBY ON 2 on the
system (or STANDBY ON 2on the remote
control ) in the active mode.
The clock time will be displayed. Or "--:--"
will be displayed if clock time is not set.
Power-saving automatic standby
As a power-saving feature, the system will
automatically switch to standby mode if you do
not press any buttons within 15 minutes after a
disc or tape has stopped playing.

1 STANDBY ON
to switch the system on or to Eco-power
Standby / Standby mode.
2 CLOCK
to view or to set clock.
3 DISPLAY SCREEN
to view the current status of the system.
4 DISPLAY OSD
to view the time, title or chapter information.
5 RECORD
to start recording on tape deck .
6 SEARCH•TUNING 1 / ¡
for DISC/USB ......... to search backward/forward.
for TUNER ............... to tune to a lower or higher
radio frequency.
for CLOCK ...............to set the minutes.
7 38 (PLAY/PAUSE)
for DISC/USB ......... to start or interrupt playback.
for TAPE ..................... to start or interrupt playback.
for PLUG&PLAY ... (on the system only) to initiate
plug & play mode.
8 7 (STOP)
for DISC/USB ......... to stop playback or to clear a
programme.
for Tuner.................. to delete a preset radio
station.
for TAPE ..................... to stop playback.
for DEMO ................ (in Standby mode) to activate/
deactivate demonstration.
for PLUG&PLAY ... (on the system only) to exit
plug&play mode.
9 O P (PRESET)
for DISC/USB ......... to select previous/next title,
chapter or track during
playback.
for TUNER ............... to select a preset radio
station.
for CLOCK .............. to set the hour.
0 USB DIRECT
to insert a USB device.
! SOURCE – to select the following:
DISC
to select disc.
USB
to select the USB.
TUNER
to select waveband: FM and MW.
TAPE-AUX
to select tape deck or to select a connected
external source AUX (auxiliary).
@ SURROUND
- to set various surround sound effects.
# DBB
- to set various sound effects.
$ VOLUME +
to increase or decrease the volume.
% MAX SOUND
to activate or deactivate MAX sound.
^ OPEN•CLOSE
to open or close the disc tray.
& IR SENSOR
point the remote control towards this sensor.
* DISC TRAYS
( OPEN.CLOSE
to open or close the tape deck door.
) TAPE DECK
¡ OPEN.CLOSE
to open or close the microphone door.
MIC IN 1 & MIC IN 2
to connect microphone jack.
