Note: The appliance is not switched off completely when it is in auto-off
mode. To switch off the steam generator, press the on/off button.
Cleaning and maintenance
To properly maintain your appliance, clean the iron and the steam
generator regularly.
1 Clean the appliance with a moist cloth.
2 To easily and effectively remove stains, heat the soleplate and
move the iron over a moist cloth.
Tip: Regularly clean the soleplate to ensure smooth gliding.
IMPORTANT- DESCALING
It is very important to perform the descaling procedure
as soon as the EASY DE-CALC light starts to ash.
The EASY DE-CALC light ashes after about a month or 10 ironing
sessions to indicate that the steam generator needs to be descaled.
Perform the following descaling procedure before you proceed
ironing.
1 Press the on/off button to switch off the steam generator.
2 Remove the plug from the wall socket.
3 Let the steam generator cool down for 2 hours.
