6.1.2 Application example: monitoring of oil pumps
At each oil pump, sensors acquire various analog and digital signals. The monitoring system
(well-pad monitoring system) is divided into two meshed networks. As a result, the delay
time in the network is kept to a minimum.
The distributed repeaters/slaves transmit the data to the wireless master in the control
center. In the control center, the data is transmitted to a higher-level system via the
Modbus/RTU interface. In addition, the data is conditioned and displayed on a monitor.
