START-UP PROBLEMS
No fuel in tank Refuel
Filters, jets or carburettor body
dirty or clogged.
Contact an Authorised Service
Centre.
Insufficient battery charge Kick-start. Recharge the battery.
IGNITION PROBLEMS
No spark from spark plug. Due to
the presence of high voltage, this
check should only be carried out by
an expert.
Check that the electrodes are
properly adjusted (0.7÷ 0.8 mm).
Check that the electrodes are
clean (use pure petrol and a metal
brush or an emery cloth). Check
the spark plug insulator: if there are
any cracks or breakage, replace
the spark plug. If the spark plug is
in good condition, contact an
Authorised Piaggio Service
Centre.
LACK OF COMPRESSION
Spark plug adapter "worn", valve
clearance not adequate; worn
piston gas rings
