Checking the automatic starting device section
For information on how to carry out the functional and resistive
check of the component, refer to the engine section. Regard-
ing the starting device power supply, keep the system connector
attached and check that battery voltage is present on the two
terminals when the engine is running (see figure 1). If
voltage is detected, replace the automatic choke as it is
certainly faulty.
If no voltage is detected, connect the multimeter negative
terminal to earth and the multimeter positive terminal to the
orange wire on the automatic starting device (see figure 2).
With the ignition switch in the "ON" position, check for the
presence of battery voltage. If no voltage is detected, check
the wiring connecting with the ignition switch and the function
of the 15A fuse.
If, on the other hand, battery voltage is present, repeat the
check from the ignition control unit connector.
After disconnecting the starting device, start the engine and
keep it idling. Check for the presence of electrical power by
connecting the multimeter positive terminal to terminal no. 5
(Light blue) and the negative terminal to terminal no. 7 (White/
Black) (see figure).
If no voltage is detected, replace the electronic control unit,
otherwise check the wiring connecting the choke to the control
unit.

sección motor. Para lo correspondiente a la alimentación
mantener conectado el conectador de conexión a la instala-
ción y verificar que exista tensión de batería en los dos
terminales con motor arrancado (véase figura 1 ). En el caso
que se encuentre tensión, cambiar el estator automático
porque seguramente estará dañado
No detectando presencia de tensión, conectar el terminal
negativo del multímetro a masa y el terminal positivo al cable
de color naranja del dispositivo estárter automático (véase
figura 2); con conmutador de llave en posición "ON" verificar
la presencia de tensión batería; en caso de éxito negativo
verificar el cableado de conexión al conmutador de llave y La
funcionalidad del fusible de 15 A.
Detectando presencia de tensión, repetir el control por el
conectador de la central de encendido.
Después de haber desconectado el estárter, arrancar el
motor y mantenerlo al régimen del ralenti y verificar la
presencia de tensión conectando el multímetro con el termi-
nal positivo al terminal n° 5 (Azul) y el negativo al terminal n°7
(Branco/Preto) (véase figura).
Si no se encuentra tensión, cambiar la centralita; de lo
contano comprobar el cableado de conexión entre estarter y
centralita.
Verificação seção starter automático
Para a verificação resistiva e funcional do componente, ver a
seção motor. No que diz respeito a sua alimentação, manter
ligado o conector de ligação à instalação e verificar que a
tensão de bateria esteja presente nos dois terminais com o
motor funcionando (ver figura 1).
Caso se encontre tensão, substituir o starter automático
porque estará certamente avariado.
Não encontrando presença de tensão, ligar o terminal nega-
tivo do multímetro à terra e o terminal positivo ao cabo de cor
laranja do dispositivo starter automático (ver figura 2); com o
comutador de chave em posição "ON" verificar a presença de
tensão de bateria; no caso de êxito negativo, verificar a
instalação de conexão ao comutador de chave e a
funcionalidade do fusível de 15A.
Encontrando presença de tensão, repetir a verificação do
conector à central de ignição.
Após ter desligado o starter, por o motor a funcionar, mantê-lo
em regime mínimo e verificar a presença de tensão conectando
o multímetro: com o terminal positivo ao terminal n

o negativo ao terminal n
9
7 (Blanco/Negro) (ver figura).
Não encontrando presença de tensão, substituir a central de
comando; caso contrário verificar a instalação de ligação
entre starter e central de comando.
