4.6 Removal of smoke deflectors
When cleaning the stove, remember to remove the two smoke
deflectors as well (in the e911 model a single deflector is present).
It is recommended that this operation is carried out by two people,
as follows:
- lift up the two deflectors at the front, pivoting them on the back
panel;
- holding the back panel firm with one hand, remove the Aluker side
panels one at a time, still supporting the smoke deflectors; extract
these from the fire keeping them at an angle;
- carefully lower the smoke deflectors towards the floor of the fire
and remove them carefully one at a time, turning them until you
find the correct angle to get them out through the mouth of the
stove.
- Then clean and remount them, working in the reverse order.
4.7 Door assembly
To remove the door it is merely necessary to slide the pins out of the
hinges after having released the screws shown in the drawing.
The spring must be tensioned when remounting the door in order to
guarantee automatic closing:
- insert the pin into the upper hinge and fasten it with the grub screw;
- insert the spring, bush and related tube in the space in the lower
part of the door;
- slide in the lower hinge pin and turn it until it slots onto the spring
(this can be seen by looking through the hole in the tube);
- holding the pin down and using the key supplied, turn it as shown in the photograph until it gives, then hold it with the grub screw;
repeat the operation another two or three times;
- Check carefully that the automatic closing of the door is working properly and if not, turn the spring further.
