General Muscle stimulation
Programme 9
The Programme 9 includes four dierent
modulation phases (see Programme Outline).
Modulation in this case means the order of
dierent pulses. We dierentiate between:
» Rising time
(duration until the wished frequency is
reached)
» Working time (constant current stimulation)
» Decline time/Fall time
(duration, until no current is flowing)
» Pause time (no current flows)
With this dierentiation, the greatest possible
eect and adjustment to the body features can
be obtained. The natural functions of the muscles
are stimulated.
The rising time is used to prepare the skin and the
body for the current. During the working time the
current remains constant.
The pause time is very important, because
it provides necessary relaxing time for the
exhausted muscle. This is also important during
TENS stimulation.
After placing the electrodes on a wished body
area, the device is switched ON; the intensity is
slowly adjusted to the wanted level. This is done
until the user feels a significant muscle convulsion.
Possible example points of application are shown
in the pictures.
