    • J
      James MannAug 21, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver has no sound but the picture is normal, check the waveforms at the following points: ALCK (IC201-pin 212), ALRCK (IC201-pin 209), ABCK (IC201-pin 210), and ASDATA0 (IC201-pin 197).

What to do if the tray of my Pioneer Car Receiver won't open?
    • M
      Michael JohnsonAug 25, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver tray won't open, even with the opening screen displayed, verify that the voltage of CN104-pin 3 and pin 5 on the DVD MAIN Assy changes normally. Also, check if the signal input into IC101-pin 11 (TROPEN) on the DVD MAIN Assy is correct: 3.3V when open, 0V when closed. Ensure the signals output from IC101-pin 1 and pin 2 (CN103-pin 1 and pin 2) on the DVD MAIN Assy are present and that the wires of CN104 and CN103 are neither disconnected nor damaged. Finally, confirm that the voltage of CN102-pin 1 on the DVD MAIN Assy changes to 0V when you press the Inside switch.

    • K
      kknoxAug 31, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver has picture disturbance during playback, such as block noise or freezing, first check the disc for scratches or dirt and ensure the disc format is correct. Then, check the video signals: Composite video signal at IC401-pin 25, S video signal at IC401-pin 21 and pin 26, and RGB video signal at IC401-pin 16, pin 18, and pin 20.

What to do if my Pioneer Car Receiver can't play discs and there is no focusing?
    • J
      jacobpatrickSep 3, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver is unable to play discs and there's no focusing, check if the signals output from IC101-pin 3 (FOCS_DRV) and pin 4 (FOCS_RTN) on the DVD MAIN Assy are present. Also, see if the 650-nm LD emits light, the pickup lens moves up and down, and the actuator spring bends. Inspect plastic parts for damage, ensure the shaft isn't detached, and verify that the turntable isn't detached or tilted. Check if the flexible cable of CN101 on the DVD MAIN Assy is disconnected or damaged. Finally, confirm if the signal output from IC201-pin 42 (FOSO) on the DVD MAIN Assy is present, typically around 1.4 V with fluctuations of about 250 mV during focus adjustments.

Why won't my Pioneer Car Receiver play because the spindle does not turn?
    • W
      William GordonSep 6, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver is unable to play discs because the spindle isn't turning, check for the presence of signals output from IC101-pin 30 (W), pin 33 (V), and pin 35 (U) on the DVD MAIN Assy. Inspect the spindle motor for detached parts or foreign objects. Verify that the wires of CN102 on the DVD MAIN Assy are not disconnected or damaged. Lastly, check for a signal output from IC201-pin 37 (DMSO) on the DVD MAIN Assy.

What causes playback to stop on my Pioneer Car Receiver?
    • J
      Jeremy RamirezSep 10, 2025
If your Pioneer Car Receiver stops playback, determine if the 650-nm LD or the 780-nm LD has deteriorated. If the voltage at each end of R322 and R325 (for 650-nm LD) or R321 and R326 (for 780-nm LD) on the DVD MAIN Assy is 0.4 V or more, the respective LD is likely deteriorated. Also, check for abnormalities in the FG waveform at IC201-pin 50 and inspect the disc for scratches or dirt.
