Maintenance and Servicing
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must
be performed only by a qualified technician.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION:
Press ON/OFF button to turn “OFF” and disconnect the Power Cord/Cigarette Plug
before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM INFLATOR FAILURE:
Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs,
have the problem corrected before further use.
1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general
condition of the Inflator. Check for:
loose hardware,
misalignment or binding of parts,
cracked or broken parts,
damaged electrical wiring, and
any other condition that may
affect its safe operation.
2. AFTER USE, wipe external surfaces
of the Inflator with a clean cloth.
3. Check that the cigarette plug is clean
of dirt, grease, or debris.
4. Make sure the universal outlet adapter
is clean of dirt, grease, or debris.
5. When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts will void the
warranty. Only use accessories intended
for use with this tool. Approved accessories
are available from Harbor Freight Tools.
6. For your safety, maintenance should be
performed regularly by a qualified technician.
7. Replace fuse when required.
a. Unscrew tip of Cigarette Lighter Adaptor.
b. Remove Fuse.
c. Insert new Fuse and screw on tip of adaptor.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: To
prevent fire, replace fuse only with the fuse of same
type and rating. Do not replace with any other object.
Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Causes Likely Solutions
No Power 1. Blown Fuse.
2. Vehicle Power Outlet
amps too low.
3. Dirt/Debris in Cigarette
Lighter Socket.
4. Poor Connection.
1. Replace Fuse.
2. Check vehicle manual to ensure
the cigarette lighter receptacle is
rated at 15 amps or greater.
3. Remove dirt/debris with non-
conductive probe.
4. Check that the Cigarette Lighter
Adapter is completely inserted into
the Cigarette Lighter Socket.
Power but does not inflate 1. Not enough air pressure
and/or air flow.
2. Tire/Object to be
inflated has a leak.
1. Check for loose connection. Valve connector
must be tightly screwed onto valve stem.
2. Check for leaks. Repair Tire/
Object to be inflated.
Decreased Output 1. Inflator is too hot.
2. Voltage too low.
1. Turn off Inflator. Allow it to cool for 25 minutes.
2. Check vehicle battery. Recharge if needed.
Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the charger.
Disconnect power supply before service.
