Why does my Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine stop or lose power?
- KKaitlin WilsonAug 11, 2025
Your Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine might stop or lose power due to: * **Fuel Issues**: Check if you're out of fuel and refuel if necessary. Cycle the key to the ON position three times for 5 seconds each, then try starting the engine. Water in the fuel or using incorrect fuel can also cause this issue; replace the fuel in both cases with new, recommended fuel. * **Spark Plugs**: Inspect your spark plugs for fouling or defects. Clean or replace them as needed. * **Electrical Connections**: Loose ignition connections can lead to power loss. Check all connections and tighten them. * **Battery**: Low battery voltage can be a culprit. Recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC. * **Air Filter**: A clogged air filter can restrict airflow. Inspect, clean, or replace the filter.
