  If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle's engine turns over but fails to start, first, refuel if necessary. Inspect and clean or replace a clogged fuel valve or filter. If there's water in the fuel, drain the system and refuel. Replace old fuel with fresh, recommended fuel and ensure the fuel valve is on. Inspect and replace fouled or defective spark plugs. Check for spark at the spark plug and make sure the stop switch is off. Recharge a low battery to 12.8 VDC. If you have overused the choke, inspect, clean and/or replace spark plugs. For water or fuel in the crankcase or mechanical failure, consult your Polaris dealer.

Replace incorrect fuel with recommended fuel. Inspect and clean or replace a clogged air filter. For worn or defective spark plug wires, reverse speed limiter malfunction, electronic throttle control malfunction, or other mechanical failure, see your dealer.

  To prevent drive belt wear or burn on your Polaris Offroad Vehicle, avoid driving onto tall trailers or up steep inclines in high range. Use low range instead. Also, avoid driving at low RPM or ground speed (3-7 MPH); drive faster or use low range more often. Warm the engine for at least 5 minutes in low temperatures, and use the throttle quickly. When towing or plowing, use low range only. If stuck, shift to low range and use fast, aggressive throttle. For water or snow ingestion, dry out the PVT and check clutch seals. Warm up the belt by operating below 30 mph for one mile. Ensure you are using the recommended belt and always break in a new belt and/or clutch.
