A clogged fuel valve or filter can prevent starting; inspect and clean or replace these components. Water in the fuel can also be a culprit; drain the fuel system and refuel. Old or non-recommended fuel should be replaced with fresh, recommended fuel. Make sure the fuel valve is turned on. Inspect the spark plugs for fouling or defects and replace if needed. Check for spark at the spark plug and verify the stop switch is on. Low battery voltage can also prevent starting; recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC. Overuse of the choke can cause starting failure; inspect, clean, and/or replace the spark plugs.
