OPERATION
Driving Downhill
When driving downhill, follow
these precautions:
1. Always move the 4X4
switch to ADC 4X4 before
ascending or descending a
hill. See page 33.
2. Avoid steep hills (25°
maximum).
3. Shift body weight uphill.
4. Drive straight downhill.
5. Slow down. Excessive
speed when traveling
downhill can cause loss of
control.
6. Squeeze the brake lever gradually. Applying the brakes too firmly
may cause the rear wheels to lock, which could result in loss of
control.
Parking on an Incline
Avoid parking on an incline if
possible. If it's unavoidable,
follow these precautions:
1. Stop the engine.
2. Place the transmission in
PARK.
3. Lock the parking brake.
4. Always block the rear
wheels on the downhill side.
