Choke Cable Adjustment
1. On models with inline adjusters, turn the adjuster in
(clockwise) to increase the amount of choke lever
freeplay. Turn the adjuster out (counterclockwise) to
decrease the amount of choke lever freeplay.
2. T ighten nuts securely and re-check lever free play. Turn
bars from full left to full right through entire range of
motion and verify that at least the minimum lever play is
present in all handlebar positions. Be sure cable is
routed properly through the handlebar pad and down
the steering post.
1. Loosen nuts and adjust throttle cable until lever
freeplay is within specified range.
2. T ighten nuts securely and recheck adjustment.
Oil Pump Cable
NOTE: Adjust idle speed and throttle lever freeplay be-
fore performing oil pump adjustment.
1. Inspect mark on oil pump lever and index mark on oil
pump body. The marks should align with throttle
released (idle speed).
2. If marks are not aligned, loosen cable adjuster nuts
and adjust until marks are aligned.
3. T ighten nuts securely and recheck adjustment.
