  If your Pondmaster Water Filtration System's filter output is sluggish, several factors could be at play. The filter pad might be clogged, necessitating removal, rinsing, and replacement. Also, backwash the filter. The pump intake could be obstructed, or the pump might be undersized or in need of maintenance; inspect the pump, clear any debris, and consider using a Pump Bag to prevent future blockages. The discharge could also be clogged, requiring you to remove any blockages. Finally, the tubing might be too small, too long, or kinked; test the filter with the valve in the #3 Circulate (Bypass) position to assess your hose and pump setup.

  If the pressure gauge pointer on your Pondmaster Water Filtration System is in the yellow zone, it could be due to several reasons. Debris may have accumulated too thickly, requiring you to remove and rinse the filter pad and backwash the system. If necessary, manually stir up the Bio-Media or use air turbulence before backwashing, checking weekly. Alternatively, the pump might be oversized, in which case you should replace it with a recommended pump or split the water flow between the pump and filter intake using a Valved Bypass. The setup might also be causing excessive back pressure, so test the filter with the valve positioned to #3 Circulate position. Lastly, the outlet could be clogged; check for obstructions and clear the outlet.
