Ensure adequate ventilation with 20cm clearance from walls and equipment for air-cooled models.
Plug into socket or have wires connected to a suitable plug/switch by authorised personnel.
Ensure staff wash hands before handling ice, as ice is for human consumption.
Warning: Do not place ice in bowls near fans to cool patients; this can spread infection.
