FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
FOREWORD
The Porter Cable Model 125 Plane is designed for removing material up to
3-1/4" wide by 1/8" deep, and for making rabbet cuts up to 7/8" deep. The
plane is equipped with a cutter-head containing two reversible, solid carbide
blades.
ASSEMBLY
This tool is shipped assembled with the exception of the bevel
fence. Assembly time is approximately five minutes and no tools
are required.
NOTE:
BEVEL FENCE
A bevel fence is standard equipment. To attach the fence to the plane:
DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.
1. Turn the knob (A) Fig. 1 counter-
clockwise 4 or 5 turns.
2. Slide the fence arm (B) Fig. 1
through the rectangular slot (C) in
the plane housing.
3. Tighten the knob (A) Fig. 1 to hold
the fence.

OPERATION
TO START AND STOP PLANE
Make sure that the
switch is “OFF” and
power circuit voltage
is the same as that
shown on the specifi-
cation plate.
Depress and hold the lock button
(A) Fig. 2 while squeezing the trigger
switch (B) Fig. 2 to start the motor.
Release the trigger switch to stop the
motor.
