What to do if my Poulan Pro Chainsaw engine will not start?
    • J
      Jason TuckerAug 12, 2025
If your Poulan Pro chainsaw engine won't start or runs only briefly, several issues could be the cause. First, make sure the fuel tank isn't empty and is filled with the correct fuel mixture. Also, the spark plug may not be firing, so consider installing a new one. Another reason could be that fuel isn't reaching the carburetor. In that case, check for a dirty fuel filter and replace it if necessary. Also, inspect the fuel line for kinks or splits, and repair or replace it as needed.
