To address the issue of your Powerbuilt Portable Generator not starting or running roughly: * Ensure the rocker switch is in the “ON” position. * Confirm the petrol valve is in the “OPEN” position. * Check and clean or replace the air cleaner if it's dirty. * Verify that the petrol tank is adequately filled with petrol. * If the petrol is stale, drain the tank and carburetor, then refill with fresh petrol. * Ensure the spark plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug and replace the spark plug if it is bad. * If there is water in the petrol, drain the tank and carburetor, and refill with fresh petrol. * If the engine is flooded, wait 5 minutes before attempting to restart it. * Add oil if the engine oil is low. * Make sure you are using the recommended petrol.
