Overview

This document serves as a user guide for POWERCOOL portable air conditioners, offering original instructions for various models designed for cooling and heating applications. The product line includes PC series (POWER COOL), PCH series (POWER COOL & HEAT), PCM series (POWERCOOL MULTI-SPLIT), and SPC series (SINGLE-BOX POWERCOOL). These units are categorized as Portable Split Air Conditioners or Portable Single-packaged Air Conditioners, emphasizing their versatility and mobility for different environments.

Function Description:

The POWERCOOL air conditioners are designed to provide cooling and, in some models, heating, for various spaces. They are portable units, meaning they can be moved and set up as needed. The split models (PC, PCH, PCM) consist of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit connected by flexible ducts and a flex connection hose, allowing for flexible placement. The single-box model (SPC) is a self-contained unit. The core function is to regulate ambient temperature, offering comfort in diverse settings, including shops, light industry, farms, or commercial use.

Important Technical Specifications (based on SPC-5000 model):

  • Product Name: SINGLE-BOX POWER COOL
  • Product Model: SPC-5000
  • Power Source: AC 230V 50Hz
  • Cooling Capacity: 5,200 kcal/h
  • Running Current: 9.0 A
  • Pressure (LOW): 0.82 MPa
  • Pressure (HIGH): 3.1 MPa
  • Refrigerant: R-410A
  • Charging: 1.1 kg
  • Ingress Protection (IP) Rating: IP 54 (for portable outdoor unit fan), indicating protection against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction.

Usage Features:

  • Digital Control Panel: All models feature a digital control panel for easy operation. This panel displays the current temperature and allows users to select air volume (3 levels), operation mode (cooling, ventilation, and heating for PCH/PCM models), and set the desired temperature.
  • Operation Modes:
    • Cooling Only Models: Offer Cooling and Ventilation modes.
    • Cooling & Heating Models: Offer Cooling, Heating, and Ventilation modes.
    • Temperature Setting: Temperature can be adjusted in 1-degree increments, with a recommended range of 5°C to 30°C. The unit automatically switches between cooling/heating and ventilation modes based on the set temperature relative to the current temperature.
  • Timer Function: A timer can be set on an hourly basis using the "+" and "-" buttons and canceled by clicking the button again.
  • Start/Stop Button: A single button to operate or stop the product. It requires a 2-second press to prevent accidental malfunction.
  • Portability: The units are equipped with castor wheels for easy movement.
  • Connection Hose: For split models, a flexible connection hose is used to link the indoor and outdoor units.
  • Condensate Tank: Collects condensed water, with an optional drain line for forced discharge in high humidity conditions. A water trap or connection to a drain is recommended for some models.
  • Installation Requirements:
    • Must be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.
    • Requires a flat and safe installation surface.
    • Minimum permissible distance of 500mm from adjacent structures/walls.
    • Must be protected from rain (IP 54 rating for outdoor fan).
    • Requires an independent power supply; avoid multi-plug power strips with other appliances.
    • Do not use or store near explosive or flammable materials.
    • Avoid prolonged use in enclosed spaces without ventilation.
    • Do not place obstacles near the inlet and outlet.
    • Ensure proper ventilation when using with combustion devices.

Maintenance Features:

  • Filter Cleaning:
    • PC, PCH, SPC series: The front panel cover (magnetic contact type) can be disassembled with both hands to access and remove the internal filter for washing and drying.
    • PCM series: Bolts on the side panel cover need to be removed to access the filter of the portable indoor unit. The front panel cover can then be disassembled to remove, wash, and dry the internal filter.
    • Frequency: Monthly cleaning of the air filter is recommended to prevent clogging, which can interrupt airflow and reduce cooling capacity.
  • Heat Exchanger Cleaning: Clean and remove dust from the surface and filter of the heat exchanger. Be cautious as the heat exchanger has sharp surfaces.
  • General Maintenance Tips:
    • Daily check for vibration and noise.
    • Daily check and record outdoor and indoor temperatures.
    • Monthly inspection of electric wiring screws; cut off power before checking terminals.
    • Appliance maintenance should always be performed after powering down the unit.
  • Storage: When not in use, disconnect power, cover the exterior with a plastic bag or original box, and store in a place with low humidity and good ventilation. Do not place heavy objects on the product during storage.

Safety Precautions:

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
  • In case of product malfunction (strange sound, smell, smoke), turn off power immediately and contact customer service.
  • Do not shake the product.
  • Do not arbitrarily disassemble the product while in operation.
  • Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, can use the appliance if supervised or instructed safely.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
  • Avoid excessive cooling and ventilate frequently for health reasons.
  • Do not put hands or other foreign objects into the air inlet and exhaust while operating.
  • Dew condensation on the portable indoor unit is a natural phenomenon in high humidity and not a malfunction; wipe with a dry towel.

Warranty Information:

The product warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase. Free repair service is provided for performance and mechanical failures under normal use. The warranty does not cover issues caused by customer intention, error, carelessness, unauthorized disassembly/modification, abnormal power supply, or natural disasters. The warranty cannot be reissued, so it should be kept in a safe place. If a warranty is not available, the period is calculated from one month after the manufacturing date.
