Defects Warranty Coverage:
METL warran s o he original purchaser and each subsequen purchaser ha he small off road engine (SORE) (1) has
been designed buil and equipped so as o conform wi h all applicable regula ions and (2) is free from defec s in ma erials
and workmanship ha cause he failure of a warran ed par o conform wi h hose regula ions as may be applicable o he
erms and condi ions s a ed below
(a) The warran y period begins on he da e he engine is firs purchased The warran y period is wo years
(b) Subjec o cer ain condi ions and exclusions as s a ed below he warran y on emissions rela ed par s is as follows
(1) Any warran ed par ha is no scheduled for replacemen as required main enance in your Operator’s Manual
is
warran ed for he warran y period s a ed above f he par fails during he period of warran y coverage he par will
be repaired or replaced by METL according o Subsec ion (4) below Any such par repaired or replaced under
warran y will be warran ed for he remainder of he period
(2) Any warran ed par ha is scheduled only for regular inspec ion in your Operator’s Manual
is warran ed for he
warran y period s a ed above Any such par repaired or replaced under warran y will be warran ed for he remaining
warran y period
(3) Any warran ed par ha is scheduled for replacemen as required main enance in your Operator’s Manual
is
warran ed for he period of ime before he firs scheduled replacemen da e for ha par f he par fails before he
irs scheduled replacemen he par will be repaired or replaced by METL
according o Subsec ion (4) below
Any such par repaired or replaced under warran y will be warran ed for he remainder of he period prior o he firs
scheduled replacemen poin for he par
(4) Repair or replacemen of any warran ed par under he warran y provisions herein mus be performed a a
warran y s a ion a no charge o he owner
(5) No wi hs anding he provisions herein warran y services or repair will be provided a all of our dis ribu ion cen ers
ha are franchised o service he subjec engines
(6) The engine owner mus no be charged for diagnos ic labor ha leads o he de ermina ion ha a warran ed par is
in fac defec ive provided ha such diagnos ic work is performed a a warran y s a ion
(7) METL
is liable for damages o o her engine componen s proxima ely caused by a failure under warran y of any
warran ed par
(8) Throughou he engine warran y period s a ed above METL
will main ain a supply of warran ed par s suf icien o
mee he expec ed demand for such par s
(9) Any replacemen par may be used in he performance of any warran y main enance or repairs and mus be
provided wi hou charge o he owner Such use will no reduce he warran y obliga ions of METL
(10) Add on or modified par s ha are no exemp ed by he Air Resources Board may no be used The use of
any non exemp ed add on or modified par s by he original or subsequen purchaser will be grounds for disallowing
a warran y claims METL will no be liable o warran failures of warran ed par s caused by he use of a non
exemp ed add on or modified par

policies wi hin five working days or reques ed by he Air Resources Board
