Air Filter
A

fil ers inside he air fil er housing o preven dir and debris
from en ering he engine
Accumula ed debris and dus in he air fil er will reduce
engine performance increase fuel consump ion and
increase he risk of damage nspec he air fil ers frequen ly
for dus and debris build up and clean he air fil ers
every 5 hours of opera ion (more frequen ly in dus y/dir y
condi ions)
Bo h air fil ers should be cleaned by following hese
ins ruc ions
1 Before removing air fil er cover brush away any loose dir
or debris on and around he fil er cover
2 Remove he screw securing he air il er cover See

3 Remove and clean foam fil er
• Ligh surface dus can readily be removed by
apping he fil er
• Heavy deposi s should be washed ou in soap and
wa er Squeeze ou any remaining wa er and allow
he fil er o comple ely dry

2 Use he spark plug wrench o remove he spark plug by urning coun er clockwise
3 Visually inspec he spark plug for cracks or damage f damaged replace spark plug wi h a recommended replacemen
(see “Produc Specifica ions”)
4 Clean carbon deposi s f excessive carbon build up replace spark plug
5 Adjus he spark plug gap o 0 024 0 028 in (0 6 0 7mm)
6 ns all he spark plug inger igh in he cylinder head and hen igh en firmly wi h he spark plug wrench
7 Re ins all he insula ed spark plug boo
Storage
1
Allow engine to cool and empty the fuel tank before
storing or transporting in vehicle. Use up remaining fuel in
the carburetor by starting the engine and letting it run until
it stops.
